My Story

I am a British male voice artist, writer and media creative.  I trained as an actor at Bretton Hall School of Performance, with the likes of fellow actors who went on to create The League of Gentlemen, and have professional performance and production experience across radio, theatre, film & television, including Channel 4,  BBC and ITV.  For over 20 years I have been a lecturer in acting and employed in production work in UK TV & Film.   I also write content (primarily automotive) and develop creative ideas for different platforms including magazine, online and TV.

I have been fortunate to combine my passions and writing work on classic cars with automotive voice work: Television Narration; Voice of God; Commentary.  As a regular presenter/narrator for two ITV4 weekly programmes - 'Auto Mundial' & the sister show 'Motorsport Mundial', broadcast in the UK on ITV4 for 52 programmes a year, and on Discovery's Motor Trend TV in the USA & other world markets, additionally, I narrate 'Planet Speed' and 'Max Power' for Greenlight TV,  ESPN and Motorsport Mundial for Greenlight TV and Sky Sports Arena.  I am part of the team taking the TV show into a third decade.  Recent commercial VO includes ITV1 Alpecin Caffeine Shampoo, a finalist for a 2019 VOX Voiceover Award.

I have a natural soft, warm and friendly tone with a subtle tint of a northern English accent. The ultimate sound of the 'nice guy'. As a regular TV narrator, I am an experienced sight reader.  With a professional background in motoring journalism (Bauer, Kelsey, Dennis, Autosport publications), I can specialise in automotive themed voice work, offering authentic knowledge within delivery.

Vocal range includes dramatic character voices to RP and 'honest and friendly guy on the street'.  Whatever your needs you can be sure I will respond effectively to your direction and fulfil ideas beyond as required.
